On-line Collections at the Livingston Masonic Library

The collections in the care of The Chancellor Robert R Livingston Masonic Library of Grand Lodge are the property of the Grand Lodge of the State of New York, F&AM.

Book Catalog

Any library shelf list is an eternal work in progress. New books are constantly being added, while existing records are reviewed, revised, updated and corrected as new information comes to light. While we feel confident that our catalog will meet the needs of most of our researchers, we ask your understanding as we continue to refine the entries. We will also be revising and refining the user interface of the Athena© catalog. Your comments are appreciated.

Please keep these quick tips in mind when using the catalog:

• The catalog will open in a second browser window and the Library web site will remain open in the original window.
• Help in using the catalog is available in the upper right corner of your screen.
• Type your keyword in the box, and click on one of the search buttons on the right of your screen to begin your search.
• It is always best to use the navigation buttons within the catalog than to use the "back" button on your web brower's menu.
• Some features are available by default but do not contain entries. We will add to these features in the future.

Artifact Collections

The Trustees and Staff of the Library have formulated an ambitious Five Year Plan to digitally convert the artifact and manuscript collections, to be made available in progressive stages to Masonic and non-Masonic patrons across the world. The first of thousands of artifacts and descriptions have been added to the OCLC ContentDM database.

Please keep these quick tips in mind when using the database:

• The collection will open in a second browser window and the Library web site will remain open in the original window.
• Help in using the catalog is available on the blue menu bar at the top of your screen.
• Type your keyword in the box at the right of your screen, and click on the search button to begin your search.
• It is always best to use the navigation buttons within the catalog than to use the "back" button on your web brower's menu.
• You can choose to view your search results by thumbnail images of the artifacts by clicking on the "thumbnails" button.
